Love Bug Fruit Cups

Here’s what you need:

Dole Pineapple in Sugar Free Strawberry Gel Fruit Cups

Sparkle Pipe Cleaners

1.3″ Pom Poms for ends of Pipe Cleaners

1/2″ Pom Poms for nose

Assorted colors and size of Googley Eyes

Pink Foam Sheet for heart shaped feet

Hot glue sticks & Gun

In order to put together these Love Bug Fruit Cups, you’re going to start by gluing the sparkle pom poms to the ends of the sparkle pipe cleaners, which I cut in half before beginning.  You’ll also want to hot glue the googley eyes and tiny pom pom onto the front of the fruit cup to create the face.  Next, hot glue the hearts onto the bottom of the cups so that the hearts are sticking out.  The final step is to glue the antennas to the back of the fruit cup so that they will stick straight up.

Ta Da!

Candy-Filled Hearts

Here’s What You Need:

Cardstock

Pencil and scissors

Letter stickers

1/8 inch hole punch

Embroidery floss and needle

Valentine candy {We went with M&Ms!}

Begin by tracing and cutting out two hearts on your card stock.

On the front of one heart, add the stickers to create your own conversation heart.

Place both hearts on top of each other. Using the 1/8 inch hole punch, begin punching holes along the edge. I spaced them about every centimeter or so. These will be the holes you use to stitch up the Valentine.

Once you’ve punched out the holes all the way around the heart, begin stitching shut with your embroidery floss and needle. Leave about 2 inches not stitched so you can fill with candy!

Materials Needed:

Have the kids fold the coffee filter in half and cut a heart shape out of it. Give them some pink, red, and purple markers to color the whole thing.

Grab a squirt bottle and have them wet it completely. Set aside and let dry. Take some modge podge and cover the heart with it, sprinkling glitter on top. Tape it to some ribbon and hang it up in the window to make beautiful Valentine sun-catchers!
